Wow! Do we stop praying to The LORD JESUS and pray to Mary…

…use a rosary…?? Really confusing.

Answer: No… you pray to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You pray to Jesus and invite your friends to pray for you to Him as well.  Mary is in the Great Cloud of Witnesses, so she is part of the Body of Christ in Heaven, but filled with the Holy Spirit as Scripture says.

Acts 2:1-4 On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place. Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!

There is every reason to believe that Mary would have been there with the other disciples. Jesus Himself had given Mary to John to be cared for, and that would have included staying with her in such times of danger.

As is everyone in the Cloud of Witnesses, through the power of Holy Spirit, Mary is aware of our petitions. She prays WITH and FOR us just like your prayer partner on Earth. YOU DON’T PRAY TO MARY, YOU PRAY TO GOD. And she joins her prayers to yours, and they both go to God.
