How Do We See and Hear God?

5 Comments on How Do We See and Hear God?

There are many times we hear God’s thoughts, not audibly but with our understanding, the problem is, we are so used to living in a fast paced world full of noise, we don’t recognize that He is speaking to us. To recognize it, we have to slow down and tune into His frequency, literally. Thought waves can be measured electronically and if I can hear and see my thoughts, I can also hear and see the thoughts of others, God included.

That’s what subliminal advertising is all about. That’s what demons send to make you feel condemned and worthless all the time. We are all equipped with these transmitters and receivers, it’s just a matter of fine tuning, or discernment.

Spiritual Transmitters and Receivers

Imagine for a moment, that you could watch television without a TV. Imagine that just by directing your attention (receiver) you can watch a program. Imagine also you can change channels at will, without a remote, without getting up and turning a knob, you think it and it’s done.

All of this happens when you remember something. All of a sudden, without a tv or computer screen you can see, feel, hear and even smell, exactly what you experienced years ago. You can also create something in your mind by thinking. Imagine hot chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven. These thoughts have the potential to motivate you to get up, go to the store, by the chocolate chips, come home and make the cookies. But it all began in the spirit mind, on that interface with the invisible world.

That’s why the Lord said, “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:28

This is a Spiritual Interface and we have control over it. When we worship, we tune into our God frequency, the place where we’ve been when we were worshipping and last saw God, in the Spirit on that interface.

Some would accuse and say that’s New Age, channeling, witchcraft. No…that’s a God given gift of imagination that Satan has taken and perverted for his own evil agendas. If we could not see, hear and experience the Lord, He would not tell us, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

He would not have said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
John 10:27

Or, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Rev. 3:22

Just as we have the ability to smell, hear, see and feel in the physical realm, we can also smell, hear and see in the spiritual realm. We just have to tune into that frequency which is much, much more subtle than everyday commotion we’ve become accustomed to.

This requires substantial QUIET, no outside stimulation…people talking, tv’s going, horns honking, all of that is SO loud compared to the still small voice of God. So by our own choice we learn to tune our hearts and spirits to the frequency God is broadcasting on, which in fact is the frequency of our hearts.

When people say, “God just won’t talk to me no matter how hard I try.” I have to tell them, oh He’s talking to you, you just haven’t learned to ‘hear’ Him. In which case the next step is, “Please Lord, I want to hear You, will You help me?” Coming to Him in great humility moves on His heart to change your DNA and open that faculty for you. Of course you have to be positioned correctly too, making time to hear Him, to worship Him, repenting and cutting your ties with sin. And reading the Scriptures, listening between the lines and learning about Him.

I think it is good to read the whole Bible, but after that I prefer to go for a Rhema…an anointed word, by asking Holy Spirit to open the Bible for me…and then reading with the eyes and ears of the heart. I’m not a Bible Scholar, I’m a Bride who wants to always be in union with my Spouse…that’s why I prefer anointed readings chosen by Holy Spirit. Or sometimes He will put a Scripture verse in my mind and I will look it up. He puts songs on our hearts too, because the lyrics are what He wants to say to you from His heart.

So in conclusion, these are God given faculties that we posses to be used for good or for evil, but it’s like typing or riding a bike, it takes practice.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

“If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? “Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:9-13 NKJV

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

    Hi
I thank GOD for this stillsmallvoice website and your message of the LORD. We are all sinners and have fallen short and I know I need JESUS more than anything else! I want to be more like HIM. (WWJD). I want people to be kind to one another and love each other. I want peace. I thirst for righteousness. GOD created us and doesn’t HE deserve all our love, praise and thankfulness. I sometimes think ‘if there were no GOD what would there be?’ And then i’m dumbfound and speechless and at times i cry. But then I know GOD exists and it brings hope and a smile. It reminds me of someone who had a NDE and he went to heaven and when he returned on earth he was a changed person. He said “even the grass in heaven sways back and forth giving GOD praise.” WOW! That brings tears to my eyes. I seek Jesus even more and nothing can separate us from HIS love. I give JESUS my life and its the right thing to be. GOD bless everyone on this website!

An example of hearing God speak to me and why He said what He did at the time. On Thursday last I was grocery shopping. I have limited funds but God always makes them ‘enough’. I picked up a package of lunch meat and ‘heard’ “Get two.” “Really?” I thought. “Yes” I heard. So I got two packages. Then I looked at the cheese slices. I was reaching for the single pack when I heard ‘Get the double pack.” ‘Really?” Because I always seem to doubt that I am hearing correctly 🙂 “Yes.” Bear in mind this is double what I buy of these items for the week but I have learned I don’t need to understand. I just need to obey. So this past Sunday, God brought a couple to me to pray for and with. He also told me the package of lunch meat and the extra cheese slices were for them. When I was asked ‘how did I know they were going to need food?’ I answered honestly and said ‘I didn’t but God did.’ I am still learning to hear His voice, but it is getting easier … even in a crowded grocery store. Thank you Lord, for leading me to Heart Dwellers and teaching me to trust in you and listen more intently for your voice.

Today when I was driving the Lord dropped this thought in to my heart: Any emotion that consumes us will block us hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord. I was so grateful for this.
